Archive score and quote trust

How scoring works(show)

Archive score

  • +10published quote submission
  • +5confirmed existing quote
  • +8accepted source
  • +2comment
  • +1source upvote

Accuracy ratings influence a quote's trust level and your vote weight, but do not add to your archive score. New members need moderator approval for comments until they reach archive score 10 (one published quote submission).

Quote trust badges

  • Needs sources — default until someone rates accuracy or proposes a source (not a strike against the quote).
  • Community-supported — ratings lean accurate.
  • Verified — strong ratings plus primary-source confirmations.
  • Community disputed — ratings suggest misquote, misattribution, or doubt (separate from moderator “under review” status).
