Let the Apostle Paul’s obtaining Mercy with God, tho’ before his Conversion he was guilty of Blasphemy and Persecution, encourage despairing Sinners to come and trust in the sweet Discoveries of his Grace, and in the Righteousness of his Son. God, by renewing and pardoning this great Sinner, declares to the vilest Transgressors, that the Mercy of his Nature is infinitely large and free, and that the Merit of his Son’s Blood exceeds the Guilt of the most aggravated Iniquities. See, O despairing Sinners, in the Salvation of this virulent Enemy to the Gospel, what the Grace of God and the Blood of Christ can do; and be encouraged to come and trust in the same Grace, and in the same precious Blood, and you shall be pardoned and saved, and made for ever happy.
