By His death man can now approach God. By the blood of Jesus a new and living way has been consecrated for us, by which we may draw near to the Father. Thus, it would appear, that in manifesting His love to man by His life and death, the Saviour procured for us this further and inestimable advantage of reconciliation with God. Oh, love beyond love! His blood expiated sin, the Father consented to receive in this wondrous covenant the sacrifice of Calvary as the sacrifice for the sins of men. Most thankfully do we accept such an assurance, nor stay too curiously to inquire, "How can these things be?" The love of Christ was then Redeeming Love. He came to earth to liberate the captives of sin and death. He paid the price of deliverance, and that price was His blood.
