Let us labour after an Experimental Acquaintance with God, even the Father, and Christ. This will keep us firm, and steady, when others, who are Strangers to the Power of Godliness, will be like Children toss’d to and fro with every Wind of Doctrine, through the cunning Craftiness of Men. If we are united to Christ by Faith, there will be no Danger of our ever being separated from him. He will not lose one, no not the meanest, or weakest of his Members. Then we may be sure Christ is ours, God is ours, and consequently all is ours. All the divine Perfections are engag’d on our side, and all the Promises of the Covenant of Grace belong to us. Let us then hold fast the Profession of our Faith without wavering, for he is faithful who hath promised, to whom be Glory for ever and ever.
