All we can hope for is through the death of Jesus; therefore that fulness is of the utmost importance to us. We say ‘All of Him for all of us’—His head for mine, His heart for mine, His hands for mine, His feet for mine. I am unholy in all, He is holy in all; I am condemned in all, He is accepted in all; Heaven’s witness to Him, if I am one with Him, becomes Heaven’s witness also to me; I am cleansed from the impurity of thought and act, and am received in Him. Let us not lightly part with this blessed thought of completeness in all its forms—the completeness of rejection meeting with that of reception, the thoroughly outcast for us, thoroughly God-honoured and received for us also.
