When we say that we are sanctified by the Blood of Christ, we mean sanctified by the Holy Spirit that was given, because Christ died and shed His blood. We must ever remember that the Holy Spirit came because Christ satisfied Divine justice by dying on the Cross to make atonement for us by shedding His blood. Without shedding of blood is no remission. We are cleansed, redeemed, justified, sanctified, etc., by the Blood of Christ. The Holy Spirit through the blood has renewed us to spiritual life. We have passed from death unto life, have been made new creatures, and God's children. But we owe all to the death and sufferings of Christ. Let us never forget this.
