Are these Scripture Declarations consistent with the Supposition, that the Attributes of God would leave him to appoint any Method of Atonement for our Sins? That there is an equal Value in every instituted Method of Justification? If Justification could have come by the Law, then Christ is dead in vain. And if Justification could not have come by the Law of Moses, tell me how I shall judge it might have come by any other Method less than the Atonement of the precious Blood of Christ; for if there is not a Virtue of Atonement peculiar to the Blood of Christ, then his most precious Blood seems to me, for the same Reason, to be shed in vain.
