He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world (1 Jno. 2:2). He redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us, that is, His curse became a substitute and equivalent for that which we justly deserved, in such a way that we may go free, and have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ. He was delivered for our offences and rose again for our justification. By His own blood He obtained eternal redemption for us. His death was the means of our redemption. His blood is the ransom price for our souls. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission, for in the blood is the life.
