When once the sinner sees himself miserable, and is persuaded that there is no salvation in any other but Jesus Christ, and that this cannot be obtained without coming to Christ and being united to him; he will at once be ready to go out of himself; to renounce his own righteousness; and say with great boldness, In the Lord Jesus Christ have I righteousness and strength; a soul convinced of its own wants and misery, and at the same time, sensible of Christ’s fulness; will be very desirous to come unto him and embrace him.
