Sin has made a breach between God and man. Man is now alienated from God through the ignorance that is in him, an enemy to God in his mind and by wicked works. And God is justly angry with sinners every day. But by the perfect obedience and sacrifice of Christ, the law is now magnified, justice satisfied, and God ready to receive sinners to His favour and friendship. And the ministry of the Gospel is the ministry of reconciliation between God and sinful men. It is the message and grand means of this reconciliation, “for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” If you have been reconciled to God, made a child of God by regeneration and faith in Christ, it was by means of the Gospel of the grace of God.
