See to it that you receive Christ, and close with him by Faith: And do this speedily without Delay; For the Justice of God, like the Avenger of Blood, is pursuing you hard at the Heels, ready to overtake you every Moment; and there is no Refuge but in Christ. You have lost and destroyed your selves by Sin, and Christ is the only Saviour for a lost Sinner to flee to: There is no Salvation in any other. There can be no gracious Communion between God and you, but in and through Christ. Till you get Christ himself, you cannot share of his Benefits. Your best and most solemn Duties are an Abomination, till you be in Christ, and reconciled to God through him. Therefore, under the deep Sense of your Sin and Misery, flee to Christ, and close with him upon his own Terms.
