I have been lately meditating more and more on keeping the heart with all diligence. I am, I trust, more and more impressed, sweetly too, with the idea of living for heaven. O! that day by day, I could bring more and more of heavenliness into my heart and life. Certain it is, this is the only way to have true peace and real satisfaction, while passing through this evil world—this vale of tears. But in the possession of this holy, humble, heavenly state of mind, there is something exceedingly desirable, and well worth living for. O! that my soul may ever be athirst for God, for the living God.
