Sin shall not condemn any who are in Christ, for that is expiated by the blood of Christ, and pardoned by an offended God. It is condemned itself, and a condemned thing shall never be a condemning. Again the law cannot condemn such as are in Christ, for it is fulfilled by the surety, and so cannot be a proper judge. Besides, believers are not under the law, but under grace, and therefore cannot be condemned by a judge to whose jurisdiction they do not belong. From all which it is evident, that there is not, that there cannot be any condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus.
